The Master of Management Society was established in 2019. We currently expanding and bringing creative ideas to engage students in many activities and create memorable experiences for them.
Our mission is create new and memorable experiences for the students. To create a safe and fun environment for everyone.
By the end of the year, we hope to achieve cohesiveness among the cohorts, execute fun and exciting events, and lastly to create a strong network.
The President of the Master of Management Society ensures that all the events, transactions and meetings are run seamlessly. Their job entails to keep everyone up to date, and make sure that the Society's bylaws are followed.
The Vice President of Finance and Operations responsibility is to oversee all the financial transactions. They must maintain and allocate budgets for the events, and record all financial statements. They are also responsible to seek out some sponsors and funding. The role is focused on budgeting, financing, and financial records for the Master of Management Society.
The Vice President Student Life is in charge of planning, organizing, and executing exciting and inclusive events throughout the school year for the Master of Management cohorts. These events create networking opportunities by collaborating with local calgary businesses. The VP student life’s mission is to make everyone feel welcome and apart of something, coordinating events that are unique and engaging!
The Vice President of Academic Life communicates all the issues between the students and the departments. They must be responsible for all advocacy related to academic issues.
The Vice President Internal is responsible for coordinating all internal society communications. This includes organizing meeting times and meeting links if the meeting takes place online, taking detailed meeting notes, sending out the weekly meeting agenda, emailing a meeting summary and To-Do list following meetings, and supporting other Society members as needed.
The Vice President External for Master of Management Society oversees and facilitate outreach to our community and anyone outside of the Society's internal affairs. The VP External works with other Society members in executing our weekly updates and events.
The role of Vice President Diversity is to create and spearhead initiatives to support diversity through storytelling, features on students, education, and forums with students to create awareness, conversation, and breakdown of stigma. The VP Diversity will also collaborate with a diversity committee to plan and address current issues and advance conversation.
